Have you ever wondered what would happen if you mixed a touch of glam rock, punk, and
a pinch of metal together musically? Yea, me too. And thus the answer lies within a group of gentlemen from prince george's county, Maryland in the form of Dead N' Wasted. Consisting of five band members in the form of Dizzy, Johnny, CK, Mikey, and Dylan this group of rowdy, extremely talented individuals bring forth a addictive blend of alcohol fueled rock-n-roll that leaves a listener feeling dirty and flat out raped musically. Dead N' Wasted brings a multitude of different influences ranging from old school punk like The Dwarves to the hard edged sleez rock of the likes of Motley Crue and Dokken.

For this particular reviewer ive known guitarist Johnny Wasted going on over a decade now and have seen and heard him grow and excell at his trade over the years. And having listened to this record his guitar playing is top notch and at its peak with some of the best licks ive heard in quite some time. But thats not where the talent of this band ends, fellow guitarist CK (ex-Misery Index) brings his own brand of thrash oriented guitar ferocity that is in great tandem musically. Vocalist Dizzy, whom prior to DNW was playing keyboards before moving over to vocals shows the other side of his own talents as he wails and bellows his Whitefield Crane-esque vocal delivery throughout songs like "Slavedriver" (my personal favorite) and "Wasted".

Having recently interviewed a few of these blokes on my radio show "Hordes of Chaos' they are indeed the very essence of the music they bring and bleed it through and through. Unfortuantely i was unable to meet both bassist Mikey and drummer Dylan but both absolutely leave their marks and indentations on this monster of a debut. Whether its the anti-mtv anthem of "Brand New War" or the irresistable party song "Whiskey Sex Machine" one thing is for certain. From beginning to end you will be not only driven to drink yourself senseless but will be hungover by the onslaught of musical deviance that this record provides. The mantra of this band is easy to discern, they want booze, they want your girls, and they do it all while giving you a big FUCK YOU in the process.

Songs like "Scene Killer" express just that as the band conveys its message that they will not be pigeon-holed or fall in line with the sheeple of mainstream music or their conglomerates. They are not here to be your friends or too hold your hand while singing kumbaya. Their music swallows the listener into a dark, evil, and disgusting filthy blend of rock-n-roll that harnesses the epitome of sleez and strength. The album finishes with a beautifully versatile track called "3:56am" that showcases all aspects of the band from start to finish. The lyrics are straight forward, no dancing around, no hidden messages. They want the listener to know exactly what it is they are trying to convey and they say it while looking you straight in the eye. This no holds barred group of misfits are unrelentless not only on stage but off it as well as they enjoy partying it up with the best of them till the sun comes up.

If your looking for a album this year that you can simply put on repeat while partying it up this is the record to do it with. There is no weak point on this record and is already one of the best of 2012. But be forwarned, having just spent 3 hours recently with these gents its clear that its no easy task and you could bite off more than you can chew while boozing it up with them. Right now the album is slated for a June 5th release followed by a world tour. Dont hesitate to get your hands on this record and dont fear mingling with them. They are as down to earth as you can get and have never forgotten where they came from as individuals. And most importantly of all, fathers, lock up your daughters because the wolves are on the prowl and have come a howling at your door.
